Fabulous and Exciting Holiday at Mt Buller, Australia
We are Members of Accor Vacation Club Asia since September 2007. We never used the club points until they expired in 2009, we then converted the points to Interval International. The points in Interval International will also be expired by Sep 2011, so we need to use it. This situation gave us an idea to use the points in Australia, as we have a brother in Melbourne. Since we knew that Accor has property in Victoria, we planned to spend a view days in Mt Buller to play in the snow.
On August 2011, we were going for a family trip to Australia for almost 3 weeks. So we used our converted Interval International points in to stay for a week in a 2 bedroom apartment at the Grand Mercure Pinnacle Valley Resort.
We went there with my mom and my brothers family. A total of 5 adults and 2 children and 1 baby. We drove about 3.5 hours from Melbourne. The Resort is located very close to Mt Buller. The Resort condition was good and clean. The kitchen appliances were quite complete and allowed us to cook and prepare simple food for the children and the whole family. We had a wonderful time learning to ski lesson at Mt Buller and going around the mountain playing in the snow. We also spent a great time visiting the surrounding towns, such as Mansfield, Eildon, Boonie Doon, Yea and Jamieson. The most memorable place is the Mansfield Zoo and the St Francis Xavier Church at Mansfield. In the zoo, the children got very close to the Kangaroos and fed them.
This was our first visit to Australia and also the first time to experience the snow. My daughters were very excited. All of us enjoyed the moment and had a fabulous time together. This great experience happened because we enrolled as Accor Vacation Club Asia Members in 2007!
